Austin Metro DiRT: Showdown (2012) | Gamer wrote It´s a Golf `Strawberry Bucket´ Convertible, why else would it have a differently colored roof? Because it's custom-painted. Back to the identification - I am aware that some parts resemble a Peugeot 106, but overall it much better matches a Golf/Rabbit. And we have to keep in mind, that this game takes place in the USA. I'm voting Golf/Rabbit.
Austin Metro DiRT: Showdown (2012) | Most tiny hatchbacks' bodies look almost alike. I prefer to think its Peugeot 106 upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/6/66/Peugeot_106_rear_20070609.jpg
Austin Metro DiRT: Showdown (2012) | One thing I can say it that its definitely not a Fiat Panda, the Fiat is to boxy, the windows are different, the wheel wells are to square, and the rear end is shaped different...Also definitely not a Peugeot 205, the windows are different, and the Peugeot is to modern in style...I also don't see much Renault Le-car either, the wheels are really the only thing that matches a Renault Le-car, the Renault Le-car's rear end is also much to slanted. Now, the main reason why I think its a Subaru Rex and not a Volkswagen Golf MK1, is because the Volkswagen Golf has a less slanted rear end, and a longer front overhang. While the door, shape of the front end, and shape of the rear end look quite close to a Rex i.drom.ru/~autovl/catalog_photos/subaru/rex/subaru_rex_2570.jpg I do understand that the taillights look different from a Rex, but I think there just aftermarket.
Cadillac Funeral Coach DiRT: Showdown (2012) | Yes, possibly with a Miller-Meteor hearse body.
Austin Metro DiRT: Showdown (2012) | www.imcdb.org/vehicle_31622-Subaru-Rex-1982.html looks identical to me...

Austin Metro DiRT: Showdown (2012) | I'll stick with Peugeot 106 according to the rear until there are more pictures of it.
Austin Metro DiRT: Showdown (2012) | thats definitely a Golf MK1

Austin Metro DiRT: Showdown (2012) | I agree with Golf, on balance.
Ford Gran Torino DiRT: Showdown (2012) | I think the racing no. is a clue. Could be a 1974 Dodge Dart? media.motortopia.com/files/8389/vehicle/46f8507a2ea12/our_74_dodge_dart.jpg
Ford Gran Torino DiRT: Showdown (2012) | I'd say Ford Elite, not a Chrycorp product.
Ford Gran Torino DiRT: Showdown (2012) | IkusaGT wrote Newport not so much, body shape doesn't match. yep, the roofline doesn't match the newport but its got the overall chrysler corp early '70s fuselage styling. I can go with demon/duster although it looks like a full-size and not a compact, which the dart/demon/duster was, but then again that doesn't matter too much with unlicensed cars hehe.
Austin Metro DiRT: Showdown (2012) | ta-caprice-xi wrote I'd suggest leaving this as "Unknown" until a front view of the car can be provided. Given the fact that every other stock car featured so far is based on an american vehicle, I highly doubt that this is a Fiat Panda. I've seen some dev interviews and it's probably worth pointing out that the demo derby cars aren't licensed, so this could very well be a Golf with altered styling. By the way, how on earth are people thinking it's similar to a Panda anyway? Even if you took all the plastic trim and bumpers etc off the real thing, the only thing that these two vehicles would have in common is that they're both hatchbacks. The Panda is much boxier. commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Pandabj1991.jpg Exactly! It's much more boxier, and it has square fenders, and the windows on the Golf/Rabbit are just like the ones on this car, and it also has circular fenders......so who's the idiot now, Jam?
Austin Metro DiRT: Showdown (2012) | IkusaGT wrote The shape and placement of the tailights (if you can see closely) reminds me of a Peugeot 106. Thats what I thought.

Ford Gran Torino DiRT: Showdown (2012) | Newport not so much, body shape doesn't match.
Ford Gran Torino DiRT: Showdown (2012) | Definitely not a camaro, those wouldn't stand a chance in a demo derby heres a better pic: ![]() Roof line seems reminiscent of a '71-74 plymouth duster, but overall seems to be based on some kind of full size chrysler such as a '72 Chrysler Newport -- Last edit: 2012-01-28 12:38:21

Ford Gran Torino DiRT: Showdown (2012) | I'm thinking some kind of an american mid-sized car. Not sure which but that's definitely not a muscle car. Way too bulky

Ford Gran Torino DiRT: Showdown (2012) | Is your thumbnail the same car? if so its definitely a Chevrolet Camaro.
Pontiac Grand Prix DiRT: Showdown (2012) | well each car is the same and has the same split grill and rear window. thats why I said Pontiac Grand Prix & included a picture. the bumper seems right but the rest if the car soesnt match with the late '70s Monaco or Gran Fury 2-door.
Pontiac Grand Prix DiRT: Showdown (2012) | In my opinion, the green car looks more like a late '70s Monaco or Gran Fury 2-door. www.mclellansautomotive.com/photos/B34491.jpg Front end especially. What's everyone else think? -- Last edit: 2011-12-21 04:25:51

Austin Metro DiRT: Showdown (2012) | The back sort of reminds me of a Peugoet 205. Not commonly used for demolition derby purposes, but the shape looks very similar.
