The Ford Cargo was an existing truck made by Ford UK from 1981, but Iveco bought out Ford Europe's commercial division and renamed it to the Iveco-Ford Cargo in 1991. When they introduced the Iveco EuroCargo in 1993, trucks made for the UK market kept the Iveco-Ford name until the UK plant was closed in 1997.
