the crown victoria and impala 9c1 are pretty rare today due to their age. A more common model is the Chevrolet Tahoe PPV.

I kinda wonder why this fictional police department is using a very old model as patrol cars, despite the fact that the year setting is 2026 and they should be using modern models like the Ford Crown Victoria, Ford Police Interceptor (sedan and Utility), Chevrolet Impala 9C1 and the Dodge Charger Pursuit as patrol cars.

The police car is pretty similar to the one used in RE2R and RE3R, it's a recycled asset.
The lightbar is also the same, the only small difference is the pattern the setup uses. They didn't rotate in RE2R/RE3R either, they simply slowly flashed - like what they do in GTA 3D Definitive edition games.

The police car of Wrenwood Police Department appears as a Dodge Diplomat, at least for the front. I have no idea what the rear end of the car is based on. Could be a Lincoln Towncar tail. License plate is WP-122, Unit number 122. Vehicle is seen at the start of the game securing two separate crime scenes in Wrenwood and Elbridge (I guess Elbridge doesn't have it's own police force). WPD can also be seen responding to Raccoon City and Rhodes Hill Chronic Care Center at the ending of the game as the nearest police force available. I guess this also confirms the Arklay County Sheriff's Department was destroyed in 1998 and now defunct.

A 1980s police car in a game set in 2026, honestly a weird choice, considering there is already a Crown Vic model in the game. Maybe because the department is running on a very tight budget or something.

Also the lightbar is the same model from RE2/RE3 Remake, a Federal Signal AeroDynic. But this one appears to be custom fitted with LED lights instead of the old rotating halogen lights.

Also note, the car doesn't have window wipers.
