Ford GT90 Gran Turismo 2 (1999) | carcrasher88 wrote Given the fact that many high detail racing games with licensed cars model their cars by laser scannning the real thing...I'd say it'd be pretty darn hard for them to get this in there, given that nobody knows the whereabouts of the GT90, after it was intended to be put up for auction in 2010, then mysteriously pulled before the auction and hasn't been seen since. now we finally found out where it went. it was sold for an untold sum, was beaten up and dusty. a man restored it to it's former glory and currently, it's at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles. I live not too far so I go pay a visit every once and a while.

Volkswagen Polo Gran Turismo 2 (1999) | Rias Gremory wrote Sorry, but i disagree with you. There is nothing to disagree about. This is fact. I did a race in the event syntheziser. It spawned as an ai opponent. That does not make it 'Removed from Game'. It just make it unplayable. You can make assumptions and speculate whether it was intended to be cut or not but since it can appear in game without the use of modding/hacking. It does not count as 'removed from game'.
Volkswagen Polo Gran Turismo 2 (1999) | Silnev wrote It's not removed from the game. It appears as an ai vehicle under very special circumstances in the custom races. Sorry, but i disagree with you. -The car can't be obtained by normal means -In international versions of the game, it lacks an in-game name -It was meant to be an opponent in Compact Car Cup, however it doesn't appear AS THIS CAR IS REMOVED. This car may appear in the Event Syntheziser races only due to an oversight in the game code. Please watch this video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=414m6zFmdhE

RE-Amemiya Matsukiyo RX-7 JGTC Gran Turismo 2 (1999) | "Matsumoto Kiyoshi" is apparently a Japanese drugstore chain, so like with the Asparadrink sponsorship, "Matsukiyo" should be moved from model name to extra info. -- Last edit: 2023-05-23 16:43:35
Honda Accord Type R Gran Turismo 2 (1999) | Its odd every time I repeated the race back then I was ended up with a red car shame too nowadays for the weak pea brain and no common sense people because we might not ever get cars like GT2 & GT4 had ever again in games
RUF CTR Gran Turismo 2 (1999) | The only GT game where this car can be in a variety of colours. Since GT4, only one colour is available for it.

Chevrolet Corvette Gran Turismo 2 (1999) | sajmon14 wrote I guess the guys who made the game had no clue about American cars, look at other examples on the site Imagine yourself living in 90's Japan, the internet still in its first steps. Probably some of these Corvettes were brought into the country by military people based in Okinawa. I wouldn't mind calling them the way they did, since it's the same car with cheap plastics and a much less powerful engine. It's pretty impressive to have this amount of Corvettes in game of this era and it is one of the few games to have the worst Corvette of all time haha
Volkswagen Polo Gran Turismo 2 (1999) | You can play with it with GT2 Plus (it replaces the Lupo when you won it thanks to Compact Car World Cup)

TVR Speed 12 Gran Turismo 2 (1999) | Ericwanted wrote I read that it could be a TVR Project 7/12, but in game is a TVR Speed 12. Project 7/12 was the name of the original concept. The race car, as depicted in this entry, was renamed to Speed 12.

Ford Focus Gran Turismo 2 (1999) | Silnev wrote The focus was first made in Germany so that's why it's origin is labeled as Germany. Car origin is more for where the model was made than where the brand is from. So like the Dodge Stealth is labeled as Japanese despite it being an American Brand and the Bugatti EB110 was built in Italy so it's origin on pages is listed as Italy instead of France. Oh.
