GTAmaniac wrote the car in the back of the truck is a Bullet GT, in GTA V official website you can clearly see the rounded rear lamps The Bullet GT has a very different rear end than the one on the truck. Note the smooth "hump" from the rear fenders has a considerable distance to the louvered window, the car on the truck doesn't feature that. Also the taillights on the Bullet GT look different than the car's on the truck, and plus the license plate is positioned in between them, the car on the truck doesn't. Might I also add, the scoops on the engine hatch area would be visible if parked from that angle as well. -- Last edit: 2012-10-01 00:54:56
The US commercial for this car makes me laugh. Random guy walks along the sidewalk, sees the Romanian supermodel bending over fixing her high heels. She notices him looking, He looks away, but it's too late Che hai da guardare? Uh? Cosa stai guardando? (She slaps, I laugh) Mi stai spogliando con gli occhi? Povero ragazzo ... non si può farne a meno? È il tuo cuore che batte? È girare la testa? Ti senti perso pensando che potrei essere tuo per sempre? Guy closes his eyes and leans in for a kiss and then stops as he realizes he's about to kiss the passenger window of the Abarth, and looks at the car, slightly bewildered. -- Last edit: 2012-09-30 05:44:14
I wonder if this is the AWD version or the FWD, but less likely for the latter. Never really understood SUVs bigger than compact size to have FWD.
The Five Hundred name only lasted until the 2007 year, the one in the pic you posted, Maisak, has the same grille as the one in the pic CC8 posted. Since the 2007 Five Hundred still looked like this.
I just had a thought, what if this new model police car replaces the Merit based one in GTA IV?
Shouldn't this be set to Playable/Unlockable and then switch the other one listed to non playable?
Ah, so it's not like the fully technical stuff GT5 has.
J-2 wrote Yes. You can upgrade your car in Horizon in the same way as Motorsport. But you can't tune your car, though. So, what you're saying is, we can add cosmetic features to the car, but we can't tune the performance parts?
If it really is the "certain air of 'Prestige'", why not should be the same for the Rolls Royce Ghost?
If this is made for GB, how come it has LHD wipers?
Rims look reminiscent to the "steelies" from MCLA's Impala police car.
Is it me or the front wheel looks slightly smaller than the rear?
I'd rather take this car and take a late night drive in, Ibiza or wherever, listening to lounge music or the likes. I mean all the other genres of music, except Jazz maybe doesn't fit for this car.
Yeah, apparently it's a "hidden" car, and not much people know about it, I've asked around and they either tell me vague ways to get it, or direct me to Tony's, or "Avantgarde" in J-2's words. So yeah, unless someone has a surefooted way to obtain that specific model I'm looking for, guess I'll have to use a trainer.
Funny note: When this car sometimes spawns in traffic, there will be a random pedestrian failing to "land surf" it, and most likely end up getting run over by whoever's driving. -- Last edit: 2012-09-05 07:46:09
Okay, I'm talking about the STOCK 2nd-Gen Schafter, I already have Tony's version, which is the one that's been posted on this site, and on GTA Wiki it's called the "Sport" version. And if what I'm saying isn't clear enough, I meant about this car. Mind you, this is very cosmetically Different than the one you can easily get from Gay Tony's missions. www.grandtheftwiki.com/images/thumb/Schafter-TBOGT-front.jpg/800px-Schafter-TBOGT-front.jpg -- Last edit: 2012-09-04 23:44:44
I have the PS3 version, and I've been doing that all day, and so far I've only managed to see the older "1st Gen" models spawning and other colors of Tony's version. Guess I'll have to drive throughout all of the city. -- Last edit: 2012-09-04 08:46:57
Oh, well so much for that, but yeah all I've been finding is Tony's version and that's all it spawns. Guess only way left is to spawn it with a trainer.
Even so, car's fun to toss around and launch off ramps into random stuff -- Last edit: 2012-09-01 19:30:41
So what, just because of the taillight of the car, you already think it's a Towncar? Look at the previous game, people even suggested it looked like the Volvo, I mean come on, it's the SAME MODEL. And honestly, not to be rude, but i've met Asians older than you and they talk better English. -- Last edit: 2012-08-26 05:24:18
I just had a thought, what if, there was a civilian version of this cruiser and that would've been the Elegant from San Andreas?
Is it me or the burning car shell looks reminiscent to the Merit?
It's still using the same model from the previous game, nothing unchanged, so I think it's still a Volvo. www.zenithclassics.co.uk/media/19541.jpg
The only difference I see in this Infernus is the different wheels and the color matching mirrors. They were black in GTA IV.
BattleMachines2009 wrote I've beaten the game and have the car parked in front of my safe house. You get the car after beating the game. How did you find that? And I'm not talking about Gay Tony's you first drive in the last mission too, is it possible to get it if you redid the mission? -- Last edit: 2012-08-22 07:12:57
In my opinion, I think this may be manufactured by Pegassi in the game along with the Infernus, since in reality Audi AG owns Lamborghini, but in turn both are owned by Volkswagen. -- Last edit: 2012-08-21 04:16:17
I remember way back when GTA IV came out, I saw this one mod that replaced most of the cars with all the traffic cars in this game, but it looked a bit odd since GTA had the realistic shine on the cars, and it was kinda like how someone modded the Kurama from GTA III into San Andreas. It had all the pics of the cars, but sadly, the mod was taken down about a year later.
I find it funny that this, and I think the Explorer as well in MC3 has a large airhorn like of the bigger trucks than the normal horn this had.
This truck, along with a few other cars has a compact car sounding horn that doesn't fit it, very odd for something this massive.
Ok, call me anal, but shouldn't this be listed as a 2012 model instead of 2011? Since the game's based obviously in a city in the US, all 2011 US-spec models sold was marketed as 2012. -- Last edit: 2012-08-14 11:25:46
mrsmallguy wrote http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20100501144213/gtawiki/images/b/b1/Schafter-TBOGT-front.jpg were do you find the unmofified tbogt schafter I've been wondering that too, does anyone know exactly how to find this version of the car in the game, besides the one owned by Gay Tony of course, the GTA Wikia doesn't give much info about this certain model, if anyone can access the files and see if the car was cut from the game like the Brickade.
Paint this black, add NY plates to it, and that's how my RL car looks like And it's a genuine Euro-spec Silvia too.
Interesting note, when you flip a traffic car, most notably the large box truck in LA, the tire marks will still leave marks in the air.
Is this the first time that a MC game featured a damaged model of a traffic car? MC3 incorporated it with all of the traffic cars but it wasn't very good, even though it threw out "damaged" parts from the car.
Does this truck have an engine sound at all? In the PS2 version it seemed near silent. Or it's a glitch for the PS2 version only -- Last edit: 2012-08-07 09:17:01
Hmm, don't think it's possible to replicate the damage Jeremy Clarkson did to a red one during one of his "reviews"?
This one shares the wheels off of the LA International fire truck it seems.
This one has a unique horn that the other trucks don't have.
Yeah, the top portion of the Tridon-cell's been painted, and it either came in silver or black.
The colors on this car seems to be three different colors mashed together, and plus the rear of this is shaped differently, anyone got a texture map of this?
The body looks to be re-used from the "V10 SUV" from the previous game.
The wheels on this, and pretty much the majority of the traffic cars in the game, excluding the Tacoma which has the right wheels, and an exception, the Explorer, to me the wheel looks to be off of a '98-02 Accord, with the emblem removed and what looks like a Plus sign in place.
This truck also seems to have a specialized track as well, since it rarely ventures onto the highway, and if it did, I remember it still traveling slowly as it did on the streets while the other cars sped up and passed by. Dunno about the other one in Tokyo though.
Wheels on the right side of the SUV look to be mirrored backwards since the rims are set back further than the other side.
1998-2006 Mazda B-Series? The grille makes me want to say Mitsubishi after looking at it.
Compared to the other traffic cars they added into this game, you'd think they'd put a little more effort and detail into making a proper forklift
Huh, I even crashed into one head on and I didn't hear it, probably a bug on the PS2 version.
Besides the licensed traffic cars, it looks like they didn't put much detail into the bigger trucks, the re-used bus from Hot Pursuit shows up on the highways, but going into Photo Mode while passing one of these trucks, it shows the third axle missing, so they probably couldn't or didn't add that in.
The third axle's missing on this truck, making it technically a 6 wheeler |
