I think it's the opposite - the Picador/Marshall in GTA V resembles a slightly older version of the El Camino than the Picador in GTA:SA

much like here then but the car is more modern then an el camino in san andreas the picadoe was an el camino but its a Holden now

Look at the shape of the car, the length of the doors, the taillights, the headlights and the grille. It looks quite different from the Holden and obviously based on the Chevy.

GTA Wiki (as all wikis) should be taken with a grain of salt. Everyone can post their opinion there and state it as a fact.
