1. I can plus one a comment for IDing a vehicle no matter how old it is.
2. It looks much more like a Nissan that an Esprit.
3. Sajmon is still an active member, so quoting the comment isn't like im quoting someone long gone or banned. :/

It doesn't matter what the game is baseed of of if the car looks almost EXACTLY LIKE THE FREAKING THING.

Well regardless it shares more with the 300ZX than Esprit. So this is looking like Stratum Wars V2 already...

I definitely see more Esprit than 300ZX. The front and side are very similar. The rear, I have no idea what it's from, but it's not from a 300ZX.

Oh no it's starting...

The rear is slightly resembling that of a 300ZX as well. Mostly taillights. Along with the headlights. And a slightly more boxy body shape. I feel like it might have more ques from another Nissan but I can't remember which one...

sajmon14 PL (232)

2016-02-15 06:01

well IGCD had no rear shots option back then so I said 300ZX. Now we see that it's rear engined so it cannot be a Nissan at all

(Facepalm) it's a fictional car... Rear engined Nissans could exist in a game like this...

whoever changed it to 300zx needs to be permabanned

tupacserbia RB (40)

there is NO such thing as an RR 300zx
the only rear engined nissans in existence are:
-two concept cars that look NOTHING like the subject vehicle - the MID 4 and MID 4 II concepts
-various race cars that, once again, look NOTHING like the subject vehicle

Definitely a 1987-1992 Lotus Esprit from pretty much every angle. Not only that, but it appears in a spy movie in the game and is a reference to the Lotus Esprit's used in the Bond movies.

tupacserbia wrote whoever changed it to 300zx needs to be permabanned

Why haven't you been permabanned yet?

Burn Rubber does have a point that these are fictional cars and engine position shouldn't be used as a be-all and end-all for car identification. Also, the in-game car is MR (mid-engined), so at least try to get your facts right before you start slagging off other users.

lol where the hell did i say the ingame car WASN'T MR
that is my entire point
it's MR, it can't be a 300zx
basically everyone in the US (wow i don't live in serbia, big surprise eh?) refer to MR cars as rear engined, so before you link me you-know-what wikipedia article think about that for a second :^)
not to mention i already stated that the car appears in a parody of a Bond movie, that & the fact it's MR are basically the dead giveaways that it's supposed to be an Esprit
and i haven't been permabanned because the admin's idea of banning people is locking their accounts or changing their PWs, look at martin07/fordcortina83/vw/chesty reregistering in a matter of seconds

RR and MR are not the same thing, so like I said: get your facts right before you start being a dick, or just don't be a dick in the first place.

I agree that this is an Esprit, but you shouldn't treat other users like that.

funnily enough in the early stages of the game's development there was a car that bared a slight resemblance to the Venturi

in the US everyone calls MR cars rear engined, cultural/lingual difference/10
i've been to many, many car shows and i've heard stuff like "wow go check out the Ford GT over there the engine is in the rear" and "you ever see an MR2, it's got the engine in the rear" a lot

Don't know why it has been listed as a generic 1987 since the 1989 Turbo SE has the rear wing similar to the one on this car.

Edit: Fixed.

1. Thank you.
2. Im giving up on making a Nissan out of this before Stratum Wars 2 breaks out even worse.
3. I still think there's something here rather than Esprit.
4. This has once again turned into "Lets make BR feel like a dumbass" and because of that I'm pulling a JFK and activating Shutdown mode. I'm done. So frikken done.
