Star Wars Fanatic 2006-09-23 00:22 | I quite liked this game when it was released back in 2002, mainly because it came from the makers of Driver, Reflections. It was very frustrating though, but I mastered it Stuntman was Reflections debut game for the Playstation 2, as a taster for what was to come in Driv3r. Throughout the whole game, the player was required to trawl through a series of timed stunts that got progressively harder as you progressed through each movie. Because of the precise timing required, this game remains one of the most frustrating examples of gaming, but it is still incredibly satisfying to pull off. Each movie was a clear rip off well known movie genres and were as follows: Toothless In Wapping - typical low budget London gangster mainly involving a Ford Cortina, with the highlight stunt being a rollover using the ramp off of a skip. A Whooping and a Hollering - A very clear rip off of The Dukes of Hazzard using muscle cars throughout, and also contains the corkscrew jump from The Man WIth the Golden Gun exactly Blood Oath - Most likely a rip off John Whoo films and features the office jump from Lethal Weapon 4, the truck leap from A View To A Kill and stunts involving Tuk Tuks. Conspiracy - Actually not sure about this one, but it featured stunts involving snowmobiles. My least favourite of all 6 films. The Scarab Of Lost Souls - The most obviously based movie of them all, being a clear rip of Indiana Jones, and even featured practically the same theme tune only a scale higher. Live Twice For Tomorrow - As if it wasn't obvious already, this is a very clear ripoff of the James Bond franchise. You get the mountain chase from Goldeneye, get to drive a Lotus Esprit lookalike whilst being chased by a helicopter from The Spy Who Loved me and even get to drive a BMW lookalike via remote control from Tomorrow Never Dies. And to top it all off the player even delivers a not so subtle reference - "Crown. Simon Crown." -- Last edit: 2006-11-30 22:59:25 |
Explorer4x4 2006-09-23 01:42 | Awsome shots, especially of the army Jeep, Capri, Challenger and Fiat 500. |
Star Wars Fanatic 2006-09-23 12:14 | Thanks |
IRT_BMT_IND 2006-12-02 04:03 | I remember looking at the prerelease shots for this game in PSM magazine and being blown away by the quality of the graphics. |
CrazyCars 2007-10-13 14:49 | There a damn side better than the new games graphics |
Star Wars Fanatic 2007-10-13 15:06 | I can't vouch for the PS2 version, but they are adequate on PS3 but not spectacular. |
CrazyCars 2007-10-13 15:31 | I have the PS2 Version of ignition, and the wheels for the cars aren't even round! They are line turn line turn....... |
SizSkiizd 2008-04-21 14:54 | I've noticed there's one car missing. It's a background vehicle, appearing in The Scarab Of Lost Souls. I've already identyfied it as an SdKfz 250. |
TA-caprice-XI 2009-03-02 05:18 | I don't know if this has been mentioned already, but all the 'traffic' cars can be driven via the use of an ActionReplay CD (it's quite a long process of entering lines of code but it's worth it). With that in mind, maybe there should be a star for cars that are playable by the use of cheats/cheat devices? There also seems to a be an American 18 wheeler missing from this page - it is featured in one of the scenes in "A Whooping and a Hollering". -- Last edit: 2009-03-02 05:19:51 |
Black Bart 2009-09-28 22:15 | I believe Live Twice For Tomorrow is also a ripoff of The Bourne Identity where you drive a supermini through the city, getting chased by the police and escaping them. BTW, this game is one of my favorite games of all time! -- Last edit: 2009-09-28 22:17:04 |
bigblockbuicks1 2009-11-26 00:09 | A huge question i always had about the game is in the instruction manual there is a phot of a 1968 buick gs. A car my dad currently owns but i could not find one in the game. Is it there and i am not seeing or something? |
Mach1Mustang 2010-01-24 03:55 | Great game. I loved to build arenas and see which cars could do all the stunts without wrecking. No, there isn't a 68 GS. I wish there was, but there isn't. I saw the car in the manual and tried to find it in game but couldn't. There was also a later model Capri. Oh well. |
Black Bart 2010-06-29 19:39 | There were two unplayable cars in the game including the Econoline, which is seen constantly in the "A Whooping and a Hollering" levels, and a European hatchback, which is shown a few times in the "Toothless In Wapping" levels. There were also more cars in CGI scenes, but most of them were partly seen, partly dark or shown as a silhouette. |
driverguy 2010-08-18 20:35 | id give anything for them to make another one like this...the new stuntman was garbage, just liek the new driver was...this graphics style is the best ive seen in a video game ever |
XThUnDeRX 2010-12-22 04:03 | This.. was such a frustrating PS2 game.. but I loved it! It's sequel was great, but doesn't have that charm you got in the original game. |
matt__jon 2011-05-09 04:12 | Awesome game, glad I stuck with it, which is even more surprising because I give up on much easier games |
GlennHGSD 2011-08-02 11:19 | is there any way of getting the cars of these as additional cars in driv3r, using mods? |
lcpdcv 2012-03-28 03:48 | The F-150 stepside flame monster truck is STILL in, there's also this badass Capri with funky 80's graphics and wire rims, you can use AR Max to get them and all the traffic/NPC vehicles.......but only in the UK. Pure bullshit. ![]() Anyway, there's 2 vehicles missing. Green with red rims Tuk-Tuk and a tan lorry also in Blood Oath. This game's graphics are perfect, great atmosphere and shadows and models. My favorite engine too-shared with Driv3r and Parallel Lines. It's insane how much stuff was used in Driv3r from this game....particle effects, sounds, models, textures, even the ped's running anims! And yes-there is also an 18-wheeler from Whoopin' And A Hollerin' missing-it's the same model as the one in Driv3r. -- Last edit: 2012-03-28 20:32:58 |
fernando2236 2012-03-29 23:33 | Admin could list my photos please? I will not give you post the photo without a good reason for you guys, so this is a good time to accept my photos or politely say why not accept the photos okay? The contrary I prefer to be banned but I will not give up on this page to post the photos here, period. thank you |
Star Wars Fanatic 2012-03-30 01:15 | We don't accept live action cut scenes, that rating is for CGI scenes made using either the game engine or CGI. You're welcome to post them in the comments, however. |
fernando2236 2012-03-30 01:25 | So, how do I put images in comments? whenever I try the image does not appear, only appears the image link ... I'm having problems .... I think manipulation of HTML |
RVR72GV 2012-03-30 01:42 | use [img][/img] tag |
Maisak 2012-06-21 16:24 | Included Track in Thailand. -- Last edit: 2012-06-21 16:25:08 |
lcpdcv 2013-01-01 08:28 | 4 other vehicles that are missing, besides the green with red rims Tuk-Tuk and a tan lorry in Blood Oath & the big rig cab from Whoopin' & A Hollerin'-a rusty Ford tractor in Whoopin' & A Hollerin', & the Hell Drivers Olds Cutlass & the flatbed version of the DAF XF, along with a forklift seen in the flybys of various stunt intros and a scene or 2 in Toothless in Wapping. -- Last edit: 2013-01-08 23:07:32 |
lcpdcv 2013-02-02 09:07 | Through the use of Cheat engine and PCSX2, i've gotten traffic cars drivable. It's much quicker than AR max. Expect some pictures. |
lcpdcv 2013-02-02 09:28 | Here's the unused Capri....WILKS 4MT....let's see what the DVI has to say about that.![]() ![]() |
lcpdcv 2013-02-02 18:46 | Added the Peterbilt 18 wheeler cab. |
lcpdcv 2013-02-02 19:01 | Added the Hell Driver's Cutlass and "IOI SHIPPING" version of the Eurocargo. |
carcrasher88 2013-02-02 20:07 | ^I'd say the wing looks more Sierra RS500 Cosworth than Escort RS Cosworth. Sierra: upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/6/69/1987_ford_sierra_rs500.jpg Escort: upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/3/3e/Ford_Escort_Cossie_in_Cali_rear.jpg |
lcpdcv 2013-02-02 20:17 | Added the unplayable Tuk-Tuk. Any luck finding what that numplate belongs(or belonged to) IRL? |
lcpdcv 2013-02-02 21:29 | Added missing blue Ford Focus or Fiesta, and the taxi version of the Space Cruiser. |
lcpdcv 2013-02-02 22:05 | Here's JAWS, the unused black with flames F-150 monster truck.![]() ![]() |
lcpdcv 2013-02-02 22:51 | DVI....stupid me, it's the DVLA. ![]() |
lcpdcv 2013-02-02 23:42 | Added the SdKfz 250 half-track. -- Last edit: 2013-02-02 23:42:52 |
lcpdcv 2013-02-03 02:39 | Added a flatbed version of the DAF XF-the one listed atm is a box truck. |

SizSkiizd 2013-02-03 20:42 | Nice going, lcpdcv! I've craved for better shots of the vehicles in Stuntman ever since I first joined the site back in '07 ![]() |
lcpdcv 2013-02-03 20:54 | No problem, man! I bet you dig the traffic vehicle shots the most, no? ![]() |
lcpdcv 2013-02-07 19:57 | Added the rusty brown tractor, ED MOS DAF XF, and unplayable Horch. |
fellian 2013-02-07 22:47 | I started playing this game recently and it's just as fun as it was last time I played it. Actually It's more fun, because I seem to be having an easier time with it ![]() |
stryder237 2013-02-08 15:47 | Is there a mod that allows you to add traffic cars in the editor? I played the ps2 version, and loved it to bits. I spent so much time creating complex courses with the item limits. This game was great, stuntman ignition does not do it justice, that game was crap. |
EscudoPikesPeak 2013-02-08 16:02 | agree with you.... Ignition was crap... theres no movie crew in PS2! i feel i was like i'm not an actor in the game but i feel a survivor than actor !... |
lcpdcv 2013-02-08 18:31 | Mod? Nope, you can either use the EU AR MAX(you're in luck, since you're in the UK), which sucks however, since you have to pop the disc in again if you want to switch what traffic car/unused vehicle you're driving. Cheat Engine and PCSX2 is much easier, you can switch the model number/folder, restart from pause and you'll be driving another vehicle. -- Last edit: 2013-02-08 18:40:53 |
lcpdcv 2013-02-14 01:41 | Adding the arena versions of the BMW 3, Capri, Diplomat, Econoline and the unplayable AI versions of the BMW R75 and Sd.Kfz 222. Added, accept them please. Added the Arena version of the schoolbus as well. -- Last edit: 2013-02-14 01:57:07 |
sphugo 2013-02-16 18:46 | hey bro, i got NTSC Action replay max (im EU) and can you teach me how to drive the trafic cars ? i got this cheat disc from PC and burned to the disc and i think it works on SWAP disc so i put the disc and i put the cars i want then so i put the stuntman then how to drive ? how to use please |
lcpdcv 2013-02-16 20:26 | Only works with PAL AR MAX. ![]() |
sphugo 2013-02-16 20:57 | thats a shame anyway can you teach me how to put the other codes on other games and how to use ? i can't find nothing on the internet google |
lcpdcv 2013-03-08 23:53 | Added a Chevrolet Corvair Greenbrier van, only seen in a CGI cutscene. Added a tractor as well, forgot the CGI star however. -- Last edit: 2013-03-08 23:58:10 |
lcpdcv 2013-03-23 02:22 | This game was originally going to have Take A Ride-besides various references to "Free drive-drive.mps" for each level found with Cheat Engine, there's also this: oi48.tinypic.com/2up8zlu.jpg TAKE A RIDE in the BG, complete with shot of beta dash view. -- Last edit: 2013-03-23 02:23:09 |
sphugo 2013-03-23 23:26 | thats was so cool if they putted take a ride in each city, why they take that out ? |
lcpdcv 2013-03-24 00:29 | Didn't have time to model more scenery, plus, they had trouble with implementing non-scripted traffic/peds. |
