I quite liked this game when it was released back in 2002, mainly because it came from the makers of Driver, Reflections. It was very frustrating though, but I mastered it :D

Stuntman was Reflections debut game for the Playstation 2, as a taster for what was to come in Driv3r. Throughout the whole game, the player was required to trawl through a series of timed stunts that got progressively harder as you progressed through each movie. Because of the precise timing required, this game remains one of the most frustrating examples of gaming, but it is still incredibly satisfying to pull off. Each movie was a clear rip off well known movie genres and were as follows:

Toothless In Wapping - typical low budget London gangster mainly involving a Ford Cortina, with the highlight stunt being a rollover using the ramp off of a skip.
A Whooping and a Hollering - A very clear rip off of The Dukes of Hazzard using muscle cars throughout, and also contains the corkscrew jump from The Man WIth the Golden Gun exactly
Blood Oath - Most likely a rip off John Whoo films and features the office jump from Lethal Weapon 4, the truck leap from A View To A Kill and stunts involving Tuk Tuks.
Conspiracy - Actually not sure about this one, but it featured stunts involving snowmobiles. My least favourite of all 6 films.
The Scarab Of Lost Souls - The most obviously based movie of them all, being a clear rip of Indiana Jones, and even featured practically the same theme tune only a scale higher.
Live Twice For Tomorrow - As if it wasn't obvious already, this is a very clear ripoff of the James Bond franchise. You get the mountain chase from Goldeneye, get to drive a Lotus Esprit lookalike whilst being chased by a helicopter from The Spy Who Loved me and even get to drive a BMW lookalike via remote control from Tomorrow Never Dies. And to top it all off the player even delivers a not so subtle reference - "Crown. Simon Crown." :D

I've noticed there's one car missing. It's a background vehicle, appearing in The Scarab Of Lost Souls. I've already identyfied it as an SdKfz 250.

I don't know if this has been mentioned already, but all the 'traffic' cars can be driven via the use of an ActionReplay CD (it's quite a long process of entering lines of code but it's worth it). With that in mind, maybe there should be a star for cars that are playable by the use of cheats/cheat devices?

There also seems to a be an American 18 wheeler missing from this page - it is featured in one of the scenes in "A Whooping and a Hollering".

I believe Live Twice For Tomorrow is also a ripoff of The Bourne Identity where you drive a supermini through the city, getting chased by the police and escaping them. BTW, this game is one of my favorite games of all time!

A huge question i always had about the game is in the instruction manual there is a phot of a 1968 buick gs. A car my dad currently owns but i could not find one in the game. Is it there and i am not seeing or something?

Great game. I loved to build arenas and see which cars could do all the stunts without wrecking. No, there isn't a 68 GS. I wish there was, but there isn't. I saw the car in the manual and tried to find it in game but couldn't. There was also a later model Capri. Oh well.

There were two unplayable cars in the game including the Econoline, which is seen constantly in the "A Whooping and a Hollering" levels, and a European hatchback, which is shown a few times in the "Toothless In Wapping" levels. There were also more cars in CGI scenes, but most of them were partly seen, partly dark or shown as a silhouette.

The F-150 stepside flame monster truck is STILL in, there's also this badass Capri with funky 80's graphics and wire rims, you can use AR Max to get them and all the traffic/NPC vehicles.......but only in the UK. Pure bullshit. :o
Anyway, there's 2 vehicles missing. Green with red rims Tuk-Tuk and a tan lorry also in Blood Oath.
This game's graphics are perfect, great atmosphere and shadows and models. My favorite engine too-shared with Driv3r and Parallel Lines. It's insane how much stuff was used in Driv3r from this game....particle effects, sounds, models, textures, even the ped's running anims!
And yes-there is also an 18-wheeler from Whoopin' And A Hollerin' missing-it's the same model as the one in Driv3r.

Is there a mod that allows you to add traffic cars in the editor? I played the ps2 version, and loved it to bits. I spent so much time creating complex courses with the item limits. This game was great, stuntman ignition does not do it justice, that game was crap.

Mod? Nope, you can either use the EU AR MAX(you're in luck, since you're in the UK), which sucks however, since you have to pop the disc in again if you want to switch what traffic car/unused vehicle you're driving. Cheat Engine and PCSX2 is much easier, you can switch the model number/folder, restart from pause and you'll be driving another vehicle.
