M3 had comeback in motorsport winning 24hr Nurburgring 1-2. Couldnt be placed on GTR in the game so did it on normal one

well there is a BMW M3 GTR with the most wanted livery on it when you complete the NFS Heat story, dont know if it have the same sound but it is named "BMW M3 GTR LE `06" so lets hope they doing it right this time

Well, it's pretty much confirmed. The latest Under The Hood talks about performance customization, and on the topic of engine swaps, this could be found:

'Why not install a 4.0 liter V8 into a BMW M3 E46? You can do that, too!'

Four liter V8, aka the BMW P60B40, the M3 GTR road car's engine.
