On the game's Steam Forum, I asked the developer, and he replied: "For the Air 8 Giordano, in fact, this is a melting pot of various inspirations. The R8 Gordini is in it. There is a bit of Alfa Coupe Bertone and a bit of Peugeot!"

It doesn't resemblethe lancia fulvia either.
The double front lamps are a sign that's it's meant to be a R8.
The dev is French and in French "Air 8" would be R 8

all of the cars have their fictional names and appearances based after their real-life counterparts (eg. fred gt 50 >> ford gt40) except this one... the name seems to be a play on "renault 8 gordini", but it does look more of a lancia fulvia than a renault 8.

Has more than a bit of Peugeot 504 sedan about it, but it's a coupe, and the 504 coupe had rather different front-end styling.
