I mean in the older the games the car based off the Cutlass was called the Sabre...they've been doing it for years.

Also you can mod this thing to look like the Nova from Death Proof.

Maybe is a reference to the rear back of a Oldsmobile Omega coupe. Thats because the Declasse is General Motors, Chevrolet, Oldsmobile, same group.

Fun fact: why Vamos based on Nova? Because Nova is mean for, not working. So this car had bad reputation in global markets

It sold just as well in global markets though, also in Portuguese Nova means New

nova (no va)= "not going" (depends on context)
vamos= "go"/"let's go"

just clarifying

Nah thats just a rumor, the Nova sold decently in the international market, in fact so much so that even here you should not be surpriced at all if you see either the 4 door or 2 door vesions.

"Believe it or not, the Vamos began life in 1960 as a sensible, affordable compact car. But over the course of the decade, something wonderful happened. It moved out of its parents' house and started hanging around with V8's and fastbacks. Its wheelbase lengthened, its grille expanded, and its hood got so long and flat you could spend a whole summer of love on it. These days, it's exactly the kind of bad influence you were looking for."
