Well, as for the bike's name, only KTM knows why it is "Replica", but the fact is that they were registered as it on the Dakar since... Well, I guess 3-4 years or so. Interestingly enough, on the Marathon category (M_G2.2) there is, at least, one KTM 450 Rally Factory. Maybe it has something to do with the preparation of the bike, as the Marathon category is for production bikes (like Group N on rallyes), the Factory meaning it is as it comes out of the factory, and the Elite category (the one the Rally Replica races in) is for race ready bikes. It's just a suposition though | |
