It does since the game represents it as a different car. It gets added to cars on demand when you steal it.

Not sure if it warrants its own listing, but there's a hidden vehicle based off the ambulance called the "Danger Mobile" which is a hazmat van based off the ambulance with green foggy stuff coming out of the back. Apparently it's toxic, a biohazard, and radioactive!
