| Every Driver is a good game for me, but most people slated it. It was mainly due to its on foot and shooting mechanics and dreadful AI, but the driving was rather good. | I got it, and it is a good game. Not quite as good as Grand Theft Auto Vice City or San Andreas though, just because the missions aren't nearly as good and entertaining. But realism and graphics and cars beat even San Andreas. I love the movie directer though, Could do without the poor walking and no running though, so I stay in my car for most of the time I can. And I really do not like the gunning, enemy gunning. He (your player) is so weak! He dies too often, and he is too vulnerable (unlike GTA). I guess its more real though. |

| Is it me or is it like the cities like different games. Istanbul is for more detailed than Miami, and even the cars there are more shiney and realistic. |

| One thing I forgot to mention about this game - a short Internet exclusive movie named Run The Gauntlet was made for advertising the game, which largely consisted of a car chase. | Yes, the Bentley isn't on the select car menu, you have to enter the cheat to get it there. Even if you find it amongst traffic, it doesn't unlock it. |

| Despite the modern Prowler and Nokia ads, Driver 3 seems to be set sometime in the eighties, as there are late 70s/80s cars. Also, with all the speedboats and gritty scenes, the game parodies 'Miami Vice'. 'Timmy Vermicelli' was added in secret areas as a spoof of Vice city, as in GTA 3 'Tanner' was mimicked by Rockstar. |

| One strange thing I found out about this game was the cars in Miami vehicle appears to be the vehicles in the 60's to 80's.While in Nice, France the vehicles resembles the vehicles in the 50's to 90's. .(With the exception of the Bugatti Type 57 SC) However in Istanbul, vehicles appears to be in the 50's to 70's As you proceed, cars should getting newer, but instead the cars are getting older.(In Istanbul) |

| Most of you who have played Driv3r will know that in the ending, they revive Tanner. Now, in the game Driver: Vegas, it tells you that Tanner and is alive and is back in action to kill Jericho. In the ending scene it's not only Tanner who's revived but Jericho as well. |

| I've also found this out on Wikipedia: Connection to Grand Theft Auto: Rockstar North had started the rivalry with a mission in Grand Theft Auto III called "Two Faced Tanner" in which players had to kill an undercover cop who was "strangely animated" and "useless out of his car", a reference to Driver 2's game play (they even went so far as to give the pseudo Tanner a female's walking animation). Reflections responded by adding tanned men with waterwings on their arms and Hawaiian shirts hidden throughout the game, as a mocking reference to Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, whose characters were unable to swim. They were called "Timmy Vermicellis" after the playable character in Vice City, Tommy Vercetti. Rockstar responded to this in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. There, in a mission where the player breaks into Madd Dogg's mansion, a person can be overheard playing a video game and making fun of the way the main character walks (Tanner's walking animations were often criticized) and asking how Refractions (a play of the Driver series' developer, Reflections) could have "messed up so bad." He also says "Tanner, you suck ass!" Ironically, Michael Madsen, the voice actor for Tanner, provided the voice of Toni Cipriani in Grand Theft Auto III, but did not provide the voice of Toni in the prequel, Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories. |

| I Totally Agree 100 percent! the on foot Is crap! I got stuck on the rooftops mission and I have not bothered since with missions. I thought it was totally pointless. | They should have made this game cars only, like the first one. Then it would have been awesome! But they had to try and compete with Vice City in lame ways and just ruined it. Parallel lines was even more like GTA, it annoyed me, though the racing was fun and the car crashing was always better than the PS2 GTA games. As to the settings, i think it is supposed to be in the 80's, the mobile phone adverts are just horribly cynical product placement done by the developers to try and claw in more money. As for the "crappy cars" in Istanbul, Turkey was ruled by the Soviet Union at the time, though even then there was a few odd design decisions, like the big Peterbilt-type trucks in France! Also if the setting really was the 80's they hsould have put some Soviet cars in Turkey, like Ladas and GAZ Chaikas! |

| It is the same as the all missions cheat. press these at the main menu, and there will be a sound to confirm it works. a option in the cheats section will be unlocked PS2: Press L1, R1, L1, L2, Square(2), Circle at the main menu. | I believe this game is set in the 90's because the vehicles go from 1935 to 1993. Also, I think the original Driver is set in the 70's, the sequel in the 80's and I guess this game in 90's or maybe in the 2000's from some of the vehicles without their year when they were listed. |

| Already got a reply from the man himself! Apparently the taxi was based on a Datsun Bluebird and was originally a background vehicle in Stuntman (though we don't seem to have it on the Stuntman page) and the hatchback is a Citroen ZX with Austin Maestro side-scallop detail. Case closed! |
