Second entry of the maddening Runabout series improved upon its original by adding far more missions and content, but the Japanese developed game still feels a bit underdeveloped. Still, for PS1 its graphics are fairly acceptable but there is one aspect I simply cannot forgive, and that is the atrocious voice talent offered within this game. For example, upon completing a mission you are greeted with a cringe worthy voiceover shouting "Yeah you completed" in what appears to be an attempt at producing the worst Mr. T impression of mankind. Ugh.

One of the most fun and replayable games ever! Shame Runabout 3 was pretty rubbish by comparison. I hope they make another one, but borrow heavily from the Flatout series! (Though with missions, not races).

I absolutely loved this game!

Anyone remember the first level, where you could smash through an aircraft hangar, drive onto a beach, and then figure your way around a pileup?

That was lot's of fun.

Never got to finish the game, but I enjoyed it regardless.

A few traffic cars are missing. There's a old Honda City, a Volkswagen Golf, a kei-truck (Daihatsu Hiject, Subaru Sambar sort of thing), an old bus, a Toyota Crown taxi, a police car with Japanese livery (possibly and edited Crown Vic), a fairly generic box truck, and a generic looking snack van. I have screenshots of a few of them, but I'm not sure if they'd be good enough, and the site isn't letting me add new vehicles (images, specifically) for whatever reason. Here's the screenshots I have regardless.

VW Golf.

Box Truck.

Kei-truck.

Honda City.

And here's a playable/Unlockable kei-truck (not the snack van I was talking about above, though), not sure if this is only in the Japanese version.

Wasn't sure about this either. Is it a variant of the other playable Dodge Ram, or is this another Japanese exclusive vehicle?

Got these from a YT playthrough so there's not much to go on, other than the fact that it was the Japanese version of the game.

Looking at that truck, I'm also not sure if Japanese exclusive (never got the chance to play through the game long enough to see if it's in the game). I know one thing for sure, it IS a variant of the Dodge Ram, but with that front end, it makes me think of an early NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Chevrolet C/K from 1995-97.

I have the game (the EU version) and have unlocked all vehicles. Will try to check things out soon.
