| Codemasters just announced a new DiRT game known as DiRT Showdown scheduled for release next May. Described as "an arcade-style spin-off," it looks to stray even further from the series' rally roots. Think of DiRT 2's extreme sports elements combined with DiRT 3's Gymkhana with an added mix of destruction derby events. Sounds as if those who haven't liked the "hey I'm Ken Block" direction of DiRT probably won't enjoy this one either, but don't fret - DiRT 4 has already been confirmed and will apparently bring back the simulation aspect. Just a shame we probably won't be seeing it until 2013 at the earliest. To be honest I would have happily swapped this for a new GRiD as it sounds a bit too Need for Speed... |

| I'm not liking the sound of the handling being more arcadey and the lack of rally will no doubt alienate people all over again. It is only meant as a spin-off I guess, but like I said I would have preferred a new GRiD or just go straight to DiRT 4. We'll see. -- Last edit: 2011-12-11 16:59:03 |

| Does DiRT Showdown can be better than "Driven To Destruction" (Test Drive: Eve of Destruction in US)? Previously DiRT didn't have good engine for Destruction Derby. |

| I doubt they will reveal anything about GRiD 2 sadly since it hasn't been officially announced yet. E3 is looking likely however. |

| It depends. Both games have the demos released already, but Unbounded has a quite messy multiplayer (i.e, it *quite* barely works until now) I suggest you'd better try both demos first before buying. |

| Seems we've got nearly all the cars here, with the exception of the Kohler G350 and the Lombardi 336LM. I've never actually played the game, I just looked up all the cars on a car list on a different site, and it seems those are the 2 that are missing (unless they missed anything, the page is here: vgfaq.com/guides/dirt-showdown-cars-list/). |
