 Ikarus 280
The Long Drive (2019) | Polish Wheelman
2025-06-19 19:16 | Polish Wheelman wrote Excuse me, but why was the subtype (Model Extra info) changed to .03? That's an obvious mistake. The Ikarus 280.03 was produced specifically for the German Democratic Republic and it featured only two doors (accordion doors may I add), whereas this 280 features 4 planetary doors. The .03 also had a manual gearbox while this one is automatic. The subtype I originally stated (.70E) might not be the case either as Ikarus 280.70E were made exclusively for Poland; but at least it had the same features as the bus in the game. I simply couldn't remember Hungarian domestic market subtypes with these characteristics but I did my best to stay accurate.
I'll do more research on the Hungarian domestic subtypes and update the Extra info sector then.
It should be listed as Ikarus 280.52 |

2024-09-27 00:53 | This vehicle is currently only available in the beta branch and does not seem to be complete. Unlike other cars, no body panels can be removed, the hood and trunk don’t open, and the engine also sticks through the rear lid. |

2023-05-10 22:55 | Wrong year - 1979+ taillights, also the black grille and bumpers were available only since 1984, with this in mind the black bumper variants should be listed as separate models - 1984 353W

It is avaliable also with quad round lights grille, that is some different trim? |

2019-11-05 21:33 | Currently my car of choice on the trail, same colour too (well apart from a blue door and boot lid). It can’t go above 98kph unless you’re going downhill but it’s more economical than the other two. It also has a two stroke air cooled engine which means no water needed and the petrol and oil goes into the one tank (5% oil being the optimal amount). Supposedly you can also put in a Lada engine in it and get a very speedy car but also quite an unreliable one. So I think I’ll just keep trundling along in my little 0.6l Trabbi |
