It's basically like the concept of how GT5's New Car Dealership works, you have one page that shows all the available manufacturers listed, and then click on whichever, it goes to a different page, with the cars listed. May be more tedious than the current layout, but to me it's easier to find cars.

That also sounds really cool. But, it could cause problems when a car is misidentified (cause you won't find it in the section you'd think it was in), although it could make unknown and M4G cars stand out more clearly.

Perhaps we could put 50 cars / page. So the game with more than 50 cars, have more than 1 pages, on the same system thant "unknown" page

Sounds like a good plan - it can be hard to find cars when there are hundreds on a page.

You don't get the point do you, Marec suggests something, but then when it doesn't happen, he goes full into a hissy fit because the moderators doesn't change the name within 5 minutes, and then if others tried telling him to knock it off, he goes off on them with ridiculous nonsense and it gets to the point where you'd hate him literally. And, I'm not defending lcpdcv, but he hasn't said anything provoking, yet you're calling him a dick already.

Based upon everything lcpdcv has ever written, including what he said about me when I first joined is more than enough justification to say he can be a bit of a dick, especially when it comes to new users.

I know the story behind Marec, but you can't say that every new member who is slightly active is Marec. It's exactly this which nearly put me off ever visiting this place again.

There are some vehicles on here that get identified in comments, but are never put into practice by the moderators, and there are also some vehicles which are misidentified, but without new radical ideas (like the ones this guy is showing) those cars will never be properly identified.

If it an Audi then we need to find which model it is, but it's hard to choose which one, so currently it will stay as m4g

Is it possible to put it as an "Audi Made For Game"? I'd be happy with that, because it would actually be useful for anyone who visits this page and wants to know what the car is. Only putting 'M4G' doesn't help anyone...

Also, wouldn't this car be an "Audi unknown" in any other instance?

I didn't try to sound harsh and I'm sorry if I did. In fact cars in GTA world had manufacturers since GTA III, where Maibatsu Monstrosity was advertised in the radio.

And to answer your second question, no, we shouldn't, because cars are still identified by model in the game (Bobcat, Moonbeam or Ruiner). Manufacturer is added in form of writing or logo just to increase the realism. And another reason, why everything should stay in actual way is that some cars doesn't have any logos and only way to identify them is to listen to the police radio.

Okay, seems reasonable.
Chevrolet Suburban

Grand Theft Auto V (2013)
Tycek a écrit
You don't know much about new way of naming car in GTA, do you? "Declasse" is just manufacturer, parody of Chevrolet, so we got nothing, because cars in the game are identified by the model.

Don't be too harsh on the guy. I had no idea GTA cars had a manufacturer until I came here...

Speaking of manufacturers - should we add the in-game make to each of the pages on this site? Other games like this have the full name listed, so why not in GTA?

The only GTA game to have random numberplates until now was San Andreas, IV lost that for some reason, and based on beta pics, we were supposed to get that (cars in the beta had a plate, but empty, without numbers or letters) and I'm thankful they're back, it adds a lot of realism, and since you can customize them (along with the entire car), it makes every car you own feel like it's really yours.

It seems like R* is borrowing some of its vehicle mechanics from Midnight Club: LA, which would be amazing if it is true.

Compared with the F-type, this car looks to be more 'boxy', more SLS-like, imo. Also, overall shape of the grille, and placement & shape of the side mirrors are similar to the SLS.

The shape of the grille is practically identical on both the SLS and F-Type.
The placement and shape of the side mirrors on the in-game car is much more similar to the F-Type than the SLS (the SLS mirrors are placed further from the body than the other cars).
The in-game car's side grille is in exactly the same spot as the F-Type.
The in-game car's headlights are very similar to the F-Type.
Both the SLS and F-Type have the same shape imprinted into the side door, but the in-game car's side skirt is closer to the F-Type.
The in-game car has F-Type wheels.

I rest my case.
