 Audi TT RS Forza Horizon 5 (2021) | This should serve as a testament that Audi needs more love in Forza, as this will be readily available in 2 days' time. In the meantime, there's still a long way to go for a full Audi experience. Many of them are getting dated, and in dire need of refreshes. This 2018 TT RS is a start but they need to add others, like: -The updated R8 Performance -R8 GT, last found in FH1's indefinite limbo among several others -The new RS5 (which has arrived as of 6/9/22 via carpass) -The new RS6 Avant, which is finally available to the U.S. -The RS e-tron GT which is a Taycan relative and can reach 0-60 in 2.9 seconds. Confirmed for the FM reboot and could be a potential FH5 FP car. Some returning Audis last found in FM4 could come back, too.  Ferrari F355 Forza Horizon 5 (2021) | I honestly think it's time to get this a drastic refresh. I dunno about sound but the whole car needs a remaster in terms of accuracy and the Forzavista value. For starters, T10 still does not realize that this is not a 1994 F355. They modeled the F1 Berlinetta, but they got the year wrong, as the paddles were added in 1998, iirc. Which is why all of them like this are listed as '98. It is also half-Forzavista meaning no openable hoods or the engine trunk. If they had taken the time to find a source car and modeled the engine, it would be a worthy remaster. As it stands the T10 car is ancient. | |

I mean look at the wiper position; they probably based it off the modern American cabovers that are not sold here commercially.  Ford Taurus 18 Wheels of Steel: American Long Haul (2007) | To my knowledge, yes. Back then SCS Software had a different paradigm for vehicles and mapmaking. It used to be possible to have the entire U.S. recreated back in 2005-07, but nowadays, it can take nearly a decade to rebuild it with the current tech SCS has now, what with the upcoming Texas and Montana DLC and the California Rebuild. That and it can be extremely costly. Have that in mind that ValuSoft - a THQ subsidiary - ran them until 2012. SCS uses Google Street View, among other things, map references and satellite imagery as a reference for routes and the general map layout. Contribute that and transform it into a virtual model for all to see can take months on end. That's why it takes longer to make new state maps, alongside remastering old ones. And this was done with a group of about 10-20 people at SCS. It's now what, 200? More? Which is impressive knowing how far this developer has come a long way. I used to love initiating chases with this. The cops here are godlike, pushing anything out of the way to catch you. I saw one or two instances where a cop literally pushed a car out of the way, as if the cops here have rig-like qualities. Endless fun, this right here. -- Last edit: 2022-06-21 00:47:12 |
