| Ford LTD Crown Victoria? | ||
| Vxctec wrote They need to get things straight about American traffic, honestly. I have seen a couple decommissioned Caprice PPVs used by civilians, but it's pretty rare. | ||
| Vxctec wrote Yes, and I noticed a trend where SCS and others are adding fictionalized vehicles in their games with some similarities to their real counterparts. It is happening in ETS with an example being the Model Y having completely different headlights. They removed the badging but left the textures the same so you can still kinda see the blue oval on the grille, it's just flat and blurry now. | ||
| The rear looks like a GMC Acadia. | ||
| There's also a Metropolitan Police one for the UK. | ||

| They recently edited the model to remove all badging, shame. | ||
| The generic liveries look like they're based on the Riverdale Police in Illinois. Vxctec wrote I love how the drivers in the police vehicles don't even look like cops. Yeah they just use the generic civilian driver model, lol. | ||
| Kinda anachronistic, German cop cars are blue now. | ||
| They got the correct blue plates, impressed. | ||
| They removed the blue oval on the back in a recent update. | ||
| Looks like the rims on the Impala. | ||
| Looks more like a cross between a Dongfeng EQ2050 and a GAZ Tigr. | ||
| Looks like a regular Explorer with police parts on it, rather than an actual Police Interceptor Utility. | ||
| Sterling Acterra with a weird front end. Which is curious, since the street sweeper is correctly modeled. | ||
| They also spawn in Las Vegas. | ||
| Has BMW rims, same wheels were used on the Crown Victoria in early versions before being patched to correct rims. | ||
| Updated model, the 2016 original had BMW wheels (old model still used as low-LOD scenery cars). | ||
![]() American Truck Simulator (2016) | ETS2 is older, so a lot of the map is very rough (some of it's more than 10+ years old). I do like ATS since it has a lot of straight highways that go on for miles (ETS2 is constantly twisting and turning, the roads).
| Specifically a 2005-2007 Ford Super Duty since it has the all-chrome grille. | ||
| Civilian model, since it has the chrome bumper trim. The Portland model has a unique bumper that wraps around the front, just like the real ones. -- Last edit: 2023-03-17 02:28:25 | ||
| Anachronism: Has Colorado license plates that expired in 2003. | ||
| The livery seems to be some amalgamation between MPDC and the old USCP 2000s-era livery. | ||
| The original NYPD car from beta, much more accurate: static.wikia.nocookie.net/thedivision/images/3/38/Division_Scrapped_Police_Car_2.JPG -- Last edit: 2022-05-27 20:34:19 | ||

![]() Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon (2001) | Missing car, Dodge Ram Van in Tblisi, Georgia (with North Carolinian license plates oddly).
| M1A2, has the CITV. -- Last edit: 2022-03-13 18:47:29 | ||
| Reuse aside, pretty new car for Cuba. | ||
| Seems they just took a regular civilian Impala and slapped a lightbar and spotlight onto it, as evidenced by the alloy rims. They do have proper rims for it in the game files but its not coded to show up, probably a bug. -- Last edit: 2022-08-21 03:36:20 | ||
| Old pic; they patched the bus and it just says 'school bus' on the side now. i.snipboard.io/rXOePM.jpg -- Last edit: 2022-10-11 22:15:23 | ||
| Logo on the door is off. The devs used the emblem from the flag, but the one on the door is closer to this. EDIT: They recently updated the skin so it's more accurate now. -- Last edit: 2023-05-31 18:03:20 | ||
| Generic statewide Coloradan ambulance (appears to be based off Grand Junction's fire department's livery). -- Last edit: 2022-02-15 10:48:12 (Silnev) | ||
| Looks like the '98 rims. | ||
| Russia's an odd choice, most Russian ambulances I've seen are either Ford Transits or M-B Sprinters. A Ford Transit ambulance actually exists in-game for Turkey, they should've just used that. -- Last edit: 2022-03-13 18:49:47 | ||
| Kinda anachronistic as it entered service in the 2000s and the nukes fell in 1997. | ||
| Seems to have a Ford steering wheel. | ||
| Is at least a 2011 model, since it has the post-2010 dashboard: www.youtube.com/watch?v=C0cvg7qvai4 -- Last edit: 2021-11-30 01:30:29 | ||
| Origin should be US: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Transit#Fourth_generation_(2013) | ||
| Kinda out of place; these were never sold in the US for civilian use to my knowledge. According to the devs, they made this model for the game so it could specifically be used for the Washington State Police's cars. | ||
| Seems this is a regional car; I've only ever seen it in Nevada in the game. | ||
| Badge says "Soptik", a parody of Pierce. -- Last edit: 2022-01-19 13:09:52 | ||
| Developers said they made this car specifically for use as the Washington State Patrol variant. State police variants were also made for New Mexico, California, and Nevada, but they do not spawn in the game although they are present in the game files. An unmarked version spawns as a civilian car, though they were never marketed for civilian sale in North America. -- Last edit: 2023-04-17 01:03:13 | ||
| Speedy17 wrote Yeah it still looks like crap even if we see it from a far Heh, reminds me of the civilian cars I'd crush in BattleTanx on the N64. | ||
| J-2 wrote Small mistake by the devs here, the plate starts with PGC, which is correct for the Guardia Civil cars (stands for Parque de la Guardia Civil) but for Policía Nacional it should start with CNP (Cuerpo Nacional de Policía). Just a small detail, but everything else is almost flawless, they definitely did a great job documenting police cars. Yeah, one thing I love about the game. The devs went the extra mile to make the cop cars, ambulances and fire trucks accurate for each country. They could've been lazy and used generic ones but they didn't. | ||
| Looks like it's based off this: web.archive.org/web/1/www.motorauthority.com/news/1044614_british-police-choose-jaguar-xf-for-patrol-duty Seems to be the only UK cop car in the game (ATS by comparison is more varied when it comes to its cop cars). -- Last edit: 2021-11-06 12:23:04 | ||
| Maxine wrote Did anybody else find it weird that All the police cars in the town were wagons? From my experiance there kinda rare, Station wagons have been used for police work (Caprice Wagon in '90s, Dodge Magnum in '00s) occasionally, but I find it weirder that the game is set in the late 2000s but the police force is still driving around in 1983 vehicles, lol. -- Last edit: 2021-11-06 12:21:07 |
