I don't get it, we know none of the vehicles are licensed, but that's no way to ruin a vehicle's looks. Up until now the models looked just like their real-world variants. Probably (since now all newer SCS AI vehicles are altered) it's a Scala with Fabia/Octavia front end. There's also some new Mercedes that looks like a weird mix of W204 and W211. Yeah I know about the Mercedes, I tried to add it but it wasn't approved for some dumb reason. It's also not possible to comment on the main game page here. This website gets dumber with every AI looking dumber in ETS2

Can you tell them (the designers) to stop with that and make their cars 1:1 to the real thing, just without badges? Secondly, all this looks like the cars resemble those of True Crime: New York City. Just checked on IMCDb they have a handful of entries on this model. Hell the Czech police use them as well, so it's possible it will also be in police form in the country - and it's part of the base game. Maybe it's a win. Same with the new Benz sedan which I can't add for some reason. So much for getting a new Fabia. I guess my spreadsheet got no attention and I've failed. I'm losing hope for seeing recreations of trendy Euro cars and it will have been in vain. I only say that because the Scala wasn't on my spreadsheet. I have pleaded, begged, and requested SCS multiple times to relinquish this shoebox-looking MPV from Ford of Europe's arm and replace it with the Jeep Renegade, and have proper minivans sold in America in its place. So far, they didn't do it. The S-Max (which btw they even made a worse prop for in ATS) is not sold here, and I have had public outcry (which is so extreme) about this that I even put up imgur links regarding its removal and I requested it be done soon. And sadly your second part of the sentence isn't accurate too, since so many of these assets from ETS2 are really old. Unfortunately both were cut off. So this Helsinki tram will have to be this permanent entry from here on out. (And it is because this is detailed compared to past DLC). Peterbilt's are called Peterbilt, even if same year as those "american" trucks are. Don't know if it is case with VW though, but might be reason I'm not talking about the lack of branding because AI vehicles in ETS and ATS were never licenced to begin with, but the fact that recent AI models don't look like real vehicles anymore. It is weird that recent vehicles in GTA Online are carbon copies of real cars (Brioso 300 or Tulip M-100 are basically unaltered Fiat 500/G-body Chevy Malibu only the badges are changed) while SCS started adding fictional GTA-style vehicles.

Mercedes-Benz GLS Euro Truck Simulator 2 (2012)	TheGreaser 2023-04-08 16:04	Why would they go through the trouble to fix the license plate position, when they could have chosen better cars like the VW T-Roc in favor of this unnecessary addition that (as I have said many times) was hastily ported from ATS. Was a GLC, GLA, GLE or even the G-Wagen not considered cars worth adding? I don't get why SCS just chooses random vehicles (aside from regional-based models) not popular in Europe and forces them in without proper research. This problem is also exacerbated in ATS which the S-Max is constantly shoved in our faces despite my many requests to rid the vehicle and have the Renegade in its place. I like what's being seen in the Oklahoma DLC, for example. It's hard to appreciate that beauty when a certain MPV refuses to go away. Christ they even made a prop version. I know there's no shame in reusing assets, but a German-based, Spanish-built shoebox-looking van has no place in America's roads. I hope in the coming months hopefully SCS can forget this model for good in ATS. Unfortunately this issue is this car. Nobody asked for this car in ETS 2. Nobody. Both of the G30 and G31 models were given subtle changes like the absense of the trademarked kidney grille (guessing they can avoid copyright). It is starting to make sense. My spreadsheet listed both the sedan and wagon variants and I see this coming as welcome additions. So in theory, SCS did listen to my suggestions, to a large extent, and it is true. I'm not exactly sure why the inclusion now since both models existed since 2017. Most of them aren't used for police duty. My theory is this - Germany is going through a rework and the 5-series is very much popular in Europe. Again, I wouldn't say they're poorly modeled as the cars are in a WIP phase. I've asked for EVs in ETS2. SCS actually gave us one. Now if we can get the Volkswagen ID.3, Honda e and the Renault ZOE we'd be in business. One other reason could be as a hypothetical question. Could SCS get a analogue factory in Berlin, considering Tesla now has a Gigafactory there? Given how four German cities are redone for 1.47 it seems likely a cause for celebration. Turns out this is the only one added for this update. Damnit. All said, I hope SCS gives us more in the next update. But I do have one theory: SCS has seen an influx of new developers join the studio lately and their previous jobs in the past (if there is any) seems to have been making unlicensed mashups of different styles of cars. I am starting to notice a pattern here. ATS update 1.46 brought us the hideous-looking single cab truck and a slightly modified Tundra and truck chassis that purportedly looks like a Sterling Acterra, while the MCI bus and the F-100 (which was found in 2020) look pretty much like the real models. So why did the new designers do this to the Golf? This is a worse eyesore than the ancient Mk.V Golf that keeps populating ETS2. Personally I think the latter Golf should be remodeled.
