He's a bit of an aficionado himself on these sorts of cars. =)

To put it lightly, the diesel models of the Tarpan used a tractor engine rather than a dedicated diesel engine, which manifests itself to brutally loud noise emissions. Legend has it that a guy that did three hours' worth of driving a diesel Tarpan, and the man was half-deaf afterwards. These diesel trucks were built amidst the resulting oil crisis in Poland.

The sides and rear are those of a Citroën Ami 6, but the front of the Ami is definitely different from what is shown here and in the game. The front shown here is either a Renault design or a Dacia but I can't nail down the exact model.
