im surely overanalyzing it but

- fuselage like a mig-17 or mig-15 with missing nose,
- tail mixed with f-84 + f-86,
- wings mixed with f-86 + f9f-2 inspired air intake,
- paint job is like the blue-gray paint scheme (e.g. on a f4f wildcat) but modified,

realistically, im sure they saw 2 poster boy aircraft (f-86 sabre and mig-15), smashed them together with vibes and made it US navy.
