It may be due to it's post-apocalyptic and somehow political plot: a deadly plague that killed off most of the world's population and destroyed all of the world's government leaving some people trying their best to survive or shooting each other on the city streets. Which sounds like a cult science-fiction movie. I guess you can call this a "cult video game." Also it's many time regarded as Twisted Metal combine with Grand Theft Auto. Personally, I think it's Twisted Metal combined with Driver. |
