It was also featured in an episode of Top Gear when they were testing various early 90s sport saloons and I know ADAC from all the crash tests they do.

Mainly by those who follow DTM pretty closely and some people who have traveled to Germany.

Yeah, you´re talking about "Abacab" which was released in 1981 (a very important year for me too :D ).
