well I have seen it only in menu, well now I noticed that rear lights might be taken from a Lancer, but indeed the front part and hood are from Impreza and roofline looks like Escort

I see an Accent in it aswell. They announced the WRC car in September 1999, so it's plausible.

well for me it looked like Hyundai Accent mixed with Subaru Impreza, but dunno if they had a Accent WRC back in 1999, I couldn't decide so I've set it as 'unknown'

It could be the Ford Escort model with different textures maybe so I guess it could be marked as "Ford Escort". Otherwise "made for game" because it's intentionally meant to be a generic car that doesn't look like any real one.
