| The first generation Schafter appears to be heavily based on the Mercedes-Benz S-Class W220, with the rear end borrowed from the Mercedes-Benz CL-Class C215. The second generation Schafter appears to be primarily based on the Mercedes-Benz S-Class W221, as seen in the side profile, pronounced fenders, and longer wheelbase, with heavy influences from the Mercedes-Benz E-Class W212, particularly in the roofline, rear end, exhaust pipes, and taillight shape. The front end is heavily reminiscent of the Mercedes-Benz CL-Class C216, as seen in the headlights, grille, and hood, as well as the side lines on the rear bumper. The W212 body had a V8 engine in the top-spec E63 trim. The W221 S65 had a V12 engine. This car is classified as an S-Class and not an E-Class because it has a V12 engine in TBoGT and GTA 5. | |
