I'm not entirely sure, but I think the 'c' in the chassis code is intended to differentiate the Cayman from the Boxster, and probably also means that there are some key differences between the two chassis.

Well, looks like it would have been best to count on it, the GTS will be the prize car for the 'Horizon Cares' Forzathon which will take place this weekend, June 9-12.

Yes, but they never tend to keep 2 versions of the same car, they always keep the fanciest/fastest/newest one. Would be nice, but not couting on it.
