| Other playable non-road vehicles: Boats: Reefer (a fishing boat) Speeder (a speedboat) Predator (an armed Police boat) Planes: Dodo (a light aircraft with most of it's wings chopped off, this makes it very difficult to fly properly. You can see other full-winged Dodos flying in the air but you can't reach these) There is also a subway train and an overhead rail train in Portland (both look the same) but you can't control these, you can only get on them at stations and ride them. -- Last edit: 2006-11-08 16:24:17 |

| Bare in mind that this was the first 3d GTA and, in terms of games which have impacted me the most, is one of my favorite games of all time. This was absolutely phenomenal for its time, as all GTAs were of course presented in a basic 2d perspective, although the Driver series was the first to officially give birth to the 3d driving game. Driver was and still is a separate entity however, and Driver 2 did attempt to become a 3d Grand Theft Auto in some ways with the inclusion of on foot action - but it failed. Long live GTA 3! |

| Oh sure, it was very impressive at the time, a 3-D version of the game was something I'd dreamed about since I first played GTA1. Although I didn't buy it until 2003, being a PC person, I've always had to wait a little while for the new GTA games. | Portland has elements from New Yorks Bronx. O-Tone: "und spielt auf den von hoher Kriminalität geprägten realen Stadtteil Bronx an." Shoreside Vale (not Valley!) is maybe a reminiscence of Queens COunty, a borough in New York, where the JFK Airport is located. | Basically The only vehicle that ever carried over from the 2d gen to the 3d gen in the series was the stallion which was in gta1 though it would be interesting to see all the old 2 d vehicles in 3d |

| Pictures are getting replaced after a while. I fixed everything using mostly G-Mann pictures (I used mine where G-Mann pics were unavailable). Thank you for letting me sort this out. |

| Since when posting cars coming from the best version of the game is wrong? Models of these cars are taken straight from xbox version, which is far superior in both textures and polygon count. If you don't want them do what you want. I was thinking about adding missing views in Vice (since G-Mann didn't provide all the pics), but in this case I don't want to do it anymore. | It makes difference when you used a modification, plus no offence but they weren't looking right. It will be alright if you used the iPhone/Android version since it uses XBOX car models. |

| They weren't that weird if you look at Xbox version. Those cars were more shiny with a lot better reflexes than in other versions. |
