Traditionally, the Bond game had always been a shoot em up so it came as a surprise to find that nobody had previously come up with the premise of a driving orientated Bond game. And to be honest, I wish they hadn't bothered as this was a truly ill concieved title that was a tragic waste of the Bond license. Its only redeeming feature was the novelty of driving the various, gadget-laden movie cars, but even they suffered due to the horrifically sluggish and imprecise handling, which was hardly ideal for the requirement of precision driving throughout each mission. Each mission was also an unexciting and tedious affair, with very little replay value which amounted to a highly disappointing title which had masses of potential. Even the title was misleading - it was a mission based driving game rather than a racing game.

The game also featured the likeness of Pierce Brosnan, yet strangely didn't enlist the use of his voice:

It looks pretty rubbish even for 2000.

They couldn't afford him :D

They've made quite a few games to cash in on the 007 licence, but not all of them compared to the superb Goldeneye on the N64.
