Before I start anything, you need to know the shots I will add are placeholders. All of them are taken via YouTube since the game (especially on 360) is rather difficult to find and get clean captures.

This is yet another sad story for Superman, as this is a shameless and somewhat poor excuse of the game, just to coincide with the film of the same name. Still interested about it? Let me continue.

It's no secret that every single licensed Superman game has been nothing but a curse. Everytime a relatively decent developer tries to make Superman successful in games, they almost constantly bomb. We already know about the infamous Superman 64, and because of that, the result has been the same since then, with no end in sight. However, this isn't a full-on terrible game. At least in the flying part and some gameplay offerings. They at least got it right. But the rest of the game has problems.

With a paperthin story, lifeless Metropolis, boring objectives, bland-to-bizarre enemies (including dragons!), tornadoes (that's literally the final boss, btw), and the fact that this game has a Metropolis health bar (which limits the sandbox feel because you're punished for damaging the city - and if it empties to zero, game over!) make this a pure disappointment.

Is there ever going to be a good Superman game, soon?

Why did the Superman game series turn bad?

No idea - but the Superman lore is massive. It's been around for decades and yet no game has been any good. Batman, at the very least, was saved from disaster by Rocksteady. I can't help but understand why the Man of Steel (common nickname for Superman) is terrible at games. :/

One more thing: The PS2/Xbox versions have different car models. The cars shown were Xbox 360 models.

I remember playing this on the 360 like 13 years ago. I've not played it since then but remember that I had to use cheats to give the city unlimited health so I could run around a do what I wanted without getting a game over. I also remember the cars having a strange art-deco, gothic style. I remember some that are above.
