ItsaUserName 2012-04-06 18:48 | VERY rare GT game, released in early 2000 and still used a PS1 case. Less than 50 copies exist in the world, and only 3 have been publicly discovered. 2 in Brazil and 1 in Japan. |
ItsaUserName 2012-04-06 18:54 | BTW, the only playable vehicle is the Evo V GSR. The other cars are only playable via hacking. EDIT: Remove the RX-7 image as it has another website's logo, and I only noticed when it was too late. -- Last edit: 2012-04-06 18:58:28 |

Star Wars Fanatic 2012-04-07 03:10 | Where did you read about there being 50 copies produced? I always thought GT 2000 was the initial name for GT3. |
RVR72GV 2012-04-07 04:05 | Wow. I remember seeing this in a local gaming magazine. |
ItsaUserName 2012-04-07 10:56 | Well I didn't, all I heard there were a few copies made for sales testing, and therefore must be less than 50 copies in the world. This makes this game rarer than the Dream Simulator LSD for the PS1. BTW, here's a gameplay video on an emulator: www.youtube.com/watch?v=xS0RCGoKKb0 -- Last edit: 2012-04-07 11:01:42 |
Star Wars Fanatic 2012-04-08 18:43 | Do wek now if all these cars are in the playable game? Some seem to be screenshots which could then have been for GT3 when it had the name change. |
ItsaUserName 2012-04-08 19:22 | Yes. I went through the emulation copy with a HEX editor and found values for these cars. All I did was look for their screenshots on the internet to correspond with them. |
lcpdcv 2012-04-08 19:26 | Oh god, that game....trippiest\scariest damn game ever. |
Star Wars Fanatic 2012-04-08 19:30 | LSD for PS1? Let me guess, a Japan only release? |

ACE the ultimatum 2012-04-09 05:53 | Hey! I have never heard of this game! Please tell me 'bout it! |
ItsaUserName 2012-04-09 11:03 | Basically it's Gran Turismo 3 Prologue, only it's super rare and has just 1 track, Seattle. Laguna Seca was later shown at E3 2000 but is not present in this earlier version. The FPS is considerably slower than the finished GT3 and there's a 120 second time limit, similar to the GT1 and GT2 demo versions. |
ItsaUserName 2012-04-09 12:46 | Alright, when the Elise and NSX get through, this game is completed. That's all the cars there were in GT2000. |
fordcortina83 2012-04-10 23:33 | remember it was released as demo on the OPM but i dunno what happened to it |
Ford78 2012-06-21 17:29 | All cars are playable! |

2012-07-04 23:48 | There were more tracks, including a unreleased city course that looks like a highway. I still have the site for those pics, but it's a broken link, so... |
EscudoPikesPeak 2013-01-04 14:55 | www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=M0_uJpOnmnM#at=59 if you watch this video you will see a track that looks like Special Route.... |
