| I wonder how much (if any) of True Crime: NYC's gameplay carries over to this (shops, customisation, good cop/bad cop actions, different endings etc). That game was really taking the series in the right direction, hopefully the driving controls are better this time. Interested to see how much of Hong Kong is re-created as well. |

| You are an undercover cop, in Hong Kong, you can drive shot and fight. It is open-world. This does not make it a GTA clone. It is another sandbox game in a modern enviroment. |

| Just got a gamespot tracked games e-mail for this like 5 seconds ago, here are the things. a preview and a video The video looked like True crime: Hong Kong and so did the vehicles, I think it is safe to add vehicles from True Crime Hong Kong videos on this page. I saw a Mazda 3, Honda S200 and a taxi and some other car in the video. They say it will be linear and not much sandbox, but why would they bother making a whole city if it was completely linear? | Really? I don't think they are that bad. The explosion seemed good, the environment is destructive during gun fights and melee, there is also a lot happening on screen. | Good trailer- the cover looked like GTA 3. all the people, in a cartoony way. It also showed a bout in the trailer and lots of driving! Still want a gameplay though. At the start I noticed the city looked a lot like Just cause 2, also a square enix game. The location is in the east for both games, so thats no surprise. |

| Yeah, it is a bit silly- the tone of the game may have changed as well-more fun and cartoony rather than dark and gritty, the trailer indicated this, only slightly. The damage looks alright-even though I've only seen a few scratches. One things I want from just cause 2 is the awesome Sakura (and the space and metro ST) I really liked that car, one of the best things about the game. It would also fit perfectly in a Hong Kong setting. I also want to know if it will have the random police callouts like from the other true crime games. I know its not a true crime any more but random police callouts where fun, but to common and the same ones re-accuring a lot. It would also be good if they where more varied and interesting, more like L.A noire but not like mini-missions. |

| Yes I really liked that from the other True Crimes, taking calls from the police to solve some crime that's taking place somewhere in the city. But since the character here is an undercover cop, it seems a little less likely  but still possible, I hope they include that. |

| another video . It shows the game map, and several small clips of various things, including driving. I keep seeing the same normal traffic cars in videos, maybe they have not made all the cars or not put them in game yet. The map also seemed small, not many roads. But if you looked closly you could tell they where only the main roads shown and darker lines can be seen, probably less major roads. | Here's a screenshot of the map for clarification.  This could of course just be that map as it is just now in the game's development, but ff that's the actual map I'm shocked. In terms of roads it actually comes pretty close to GTA III's Liberty City. I have noticed that if you look at a real map of Hong Kong, you get the same sort of road layout (making it look as though very few roads are present), with thin lines representing the grid-based street layout amongst the main roads and highways. | Many of the roads are clearly highways. But hey are not many black roads though. The only ones I can see are in north point. However at the bottom, near north point you can see that there is no sea, just land. The mentioned Central district is not on the map, it may be below north point. EDIT: nope, central is the top the bit, in the vid you can see the bottom of the name. Also, how do you add pictures in comments? | Not trying to sound like an ass here, but who's going to do the pics? 2 tips-don't forget all 4 variants of the Toyota Hiace/Suzuki Carryall van-the gang version with custom wheels(used in the mission "Stick Up And Deliver"), the regular civi van version, the tarp with barrels in the back version and the tarp with chicken cages in the rear of it(used to tail a suspect in one of the police cases, as well as being used in a side mission).
