Star Wars Fanatic 2006-10-13 00:17 | A very different submission to IGCD this. This is a German 3d driving simulator, where you have to go through various lessons to learn how to drive, which means that intriguingly for a video game you must drive following the rules of the road - no speeding or reckless driving here whatsoever. As such, it is quite realistic because of this and it even tells you how much you have broken the speed limit by. It features locations set in Germany, Paris and London and only features two playable cars, the Corsa and the Jeep, and 3 more bikes. Note that I found a screenshot featuring cars I could not find: ![]() Possibly from an earlier version of the game. |
qwerty_86 2006-10-13 03:50 | This "game" looks almost exactly like MM2. |
G-MANN 2006-11-05 16:23 | The whole point of computer driving games is to drive in a way you wouldn't dare to in a real life, you'd either be arrested or killed. Is this a proper educational tool that is endorsed by German vehicle licensing agencies. Can you have fun with it and drive as if you were playing GTA or does it stop you if your driving gets dangerous? |
Star Wars Fanatic 2006-11-05 18:27 | It is actually a bit of both. On one hand, it contains several lessons that are intended to be educational to teach you to drive and on the other there is a free drive mode for each lesson where you can drive without an instructor. In the lessons however, the instructor intervenes if a dangerous maneuver is committed, just like in a real lesson. It even tells you how much you are breaking the speed limit by |
G-MANN 2006-11-05 18:40 | Somehow I don't think player a computer simulation is going to really prepare you for driving a real car on real roads. |
qwerty_86 2006-11-06 07:14 | Lol yeah. I played Midtown Madness 1 for a while before actually learning to drive. Imagine my dad's surprise when I only turned the wheel 90 degrees while making a right turn for the first time! ![]() |

RacingFreak 2011-04-18 12:11 | There are a lot of missing vehicles. I`ll add the ASAP. BTW, I`ll fill in the missing information: Developer: Besier 3D-Edutainment Wiesbaden Publisher: Besier 3D-Edutainment Wiesbaden Year: 2001 (yes, the first release dates from there). Who the hell thinks it`s horrible?! I like it very much, by far one of the few 'good' atleast driving simulators. PS I`ve submitted picture of one police car. It`s from promo material, but I`ll replace it with mine later. Thanks. -- Last edit: 2011-04-18 12:21:42 |
Star Wars Fanatic 2011-04-18 12:50 | Hmm perhaps you are seeing cars from a later edition than what I had? Wow, it was 4 and a half years ago I submitted this. |
RacingFreak 2011-04-18 17:43 | Yes, the last one. They don`t update it anymore, so 5.1 is the latest available version. |
RacingFreak 2011-04-18 17:57 | I`ll also try to search the very first version, since it`s something like 'beta' because of different looking cars in the style of the blue car - 'Standart Left'. |
