| There's a developer diary on YouTube, and they talk about 'test driving cars for the game' and there is a Cosworth RS2000 and some others, so I dare say they will feature those cars. |

| I think this will be the definitive rally experience to be honest. They've already said that 60% of the events will be rally, and the handling in DiRT 2 was already a vast improvement over DiRT. Codemasters themselves admitted they got too carried away with the Americanisation last time round. |

| That cover killed my hopes for this game, i thougth that they would leave that Monster/Ken Block stuff (the game was too american lacking of the real spirit of Colin McRae previous games). Those bastards sullied McRae's francise name changing it into Ken Block and those guys earned a lot of money sponsoring their names. Before seeing the cover i was really excited about Gr. B video in this game, i hope that sometime we will see a classic rally game, with Gr. B Gr. A with cars like Stratos, Delta, Manta 500, Kadett, Starion.... I pretty remember previous games of Colin McRae and Ralli Sport Challenge series, they were great. |

| Time for another mid-year IGCD Game of the year contender insight. This time, with an already proven game, that's been out there for a couple months. Dirt 3. For a few years, Codemasters has been a bit down on their luck with producing racing games. The first two Dirt games were pretty good, but just couldn't keep that new-car-scent (figuratively), and became stale pretty fast. Compared to other games, GRID started out a strong contender, but started to fall by the wayside when NFS:Shift came along. But, things looked up when Codemasters blasted us with two excellent games: F1 2010 and Fuel. These games provided lots of excitement, even though Fuel quickly fell into the (to quote Billy Joel) back of the discount rack. F1 2010 did so well, that they're coming back with F1 2011. Back to Dirt 3, it does a lot of things, and it does them well. The game is like a goody bag of great rally and off-road racing styles, but even better. The game, no longer directly connected to the late great Colin McRae, features some new, young faces in the rally world, Tanner Foust and Ken Block. Of course, they're not the only pros in this game, and it's not based around Gymkhana, either. Of course, that is a new mode in the game, though. The lineup of vehicles is very diverse. From 600+ hp Ford Fiestas, Nobuhiro Tajima's (also known as 'The Monster') Suzuki SX4 Pikes Peak Special, the Dakar Rally Volkswagen Race Touareg, and more. The gameplay (from what I've read) is well executed, and is a blast to play. It seems to be a strong contender for this year's award. |
